Silica-sol investment casting services support OEM/ODM components in stainless steel, carbon steel, brass and bronze alloys. Machining is available, with technical references that include a 1–440mm size range, Ra1.6 surface roughness and 0.01mm machining precision. These references provide a starting point for defining the actual component.
Four metal directions for a custom casting
Select the specific stainless steel, carbon steel, brass or bronze alloy around the required part. Identify its geometry and the dimension represented by the size range, so the enquiry connects the material choice to an actual casting rather than treating the range as a complete part definition.
Machined dimensions and surface roughness
The machining precision reference is 0.01mm, while the roughness reference is Ra1.6. Define the machined areas and the surfaces to be evaluated separately, then agree the applicable dimensional limits, roughness units and acceptance method. This makes both references useful for the selected geometry without expanding either into an all-surface guarantee.
Choose the treatment for the selected alloy
Treatment directions include polishing, plating, pickling, heat treatment, galvanizing and chrome finishing. Match the required treatment to the chosen metal and identify the areas where it is needed. The finish request should describe the intended surface condition and the acceptance criteria relevant to that component.
For an OEM or ODM discussion, combine the alloy selection, size definition, machined characteristics and treatment requirement. A clear relationship between these items supports review of the proposed silica-sol investment casting and its finished condition.
