Custom Stainless Mounting Bases for Outdoor Lighting
An outdoor lighting base needs both the luminaire interface and the mounting arrangement defined. Relia reviews 316 stainless casting and CNC features around your drawing, finish and project checks, rather than a catalogue outline alone.

RELIA · PRODUCT AND MANUFACTURING SUPPORT
Define both sides of the mounting component
Relia's spotlight-base listing records 316 stainless steel, a 300 × 300 × 80 mm reference envelope, 2 kg listed net weight and custom casting service. Relia's enquiry uses your luminaire and support interfaces to define the purchased base. The listing's 100-piece minimum and eight-week reference schedule belong to that item and are reviewed with the actual project.
| Your requirement | Relia product and service scope |
|---|---|
| Material | 316 stainless steel |
| Reference envelope | 300 × 300 × 80 mm; listed net weight 2 kg |
| Process | Lost-wax casting and CNC machining |
| Order reference | MOQ 100; listed production lead time eight weeks |
02 · GEOMETRY
Use the project drawing to set the size
- Project geometry
- Provide the required envelope and mounting pattern.
- Actual enquiry
- Use the controlled drawing to define the purchased base.
A catalogue reference helps explain the type of component, but the purchased base needs a controlled dimensional definition. Provide the required envelope, mounting pattern and mating features. We review that geometry as the actual enquiry rather than transferring dimensions from a different reference part.
Technical notes
Locate machined mounting faces and holes from the same datum system. Keep drainage routes open through finishing, and review crevices or trapped-water areas. Choose the required stainless surface condition for the exposure instead of assuming 316 means the assembly is maintenance-free.

MANUFACTURING ROUTE · FEATURES AND CONTROL
Cast the Support and Preserve Outdoor Interfaces
The cast body needs a pattern and mould arrangement suited to its sections and mounting geometry. After pouring, cleaning and gate removal, CNC machining establishes the nominated contact faces and fixing locations. Relia's finish review keeps cable openings, drainage paths and installation access usable. The stainless surface condition is selected for exposure and cleaning, while the base's dimensions are checked against the lighting and support drawings. The complete luminaire's sealing and structural installation requirements remain separate defined checks.

04 · FINISHED FEATURES
Mark the interfaces that require machining
- Finished mounting
- Mark holes, threads, support faces and locating datums.
- Controlled appearance
- Separate burr removal and finish from structural dimensions.
Identify the mounting holes, threads, supporting faces and datums that need controlled finishing. Keep burr removal and appearance requirements separate from structural dimensions. We can review the cast and machined scope around the actual interfaces so the supplied component follows a clear finished drawing.

05 · PROJECT VERIFICATION
Keep the structural approval tied to the installation design
The required load, anchoring and installation checks need to come from the project design. A component supply enquiry does not by itself establish approval of the full structure. Agree the dimensional, trial-fit and specified test evidence needed for the mounting base within that wider installation review.
| Review level | Requirement to define |
|---|---|
| Component | Material, dimensions and surface condition |
| Mating fit | Fixture and support interfaces |
| Specified tests | Applicable method and acceptance basis |
| Installation | Structural design and project approval |
06 · PACKING AND RECEIVING
Protect the surfaces needed on site
- Installation surfaces
- Identify threads, visible areas and faces needing protection.
- Receiving reference
- Agree part identity and destination-specific packing needs.
Identify the finished faces, threads and visible areas that need protection during transport and handling. Include the part identification and receiving information your installation team needs. We can discuss packing and delivery requirements against the actual component, quantity and destination rather than a general catalogue assumption.

07 · ORDER RECORD
Retain one accepted installation reference
Check mounting fit, face contact and cable or drain clearances on the sample. The listing records a 100-piece minimum and eight-week production reference; confirm the actual order schedule after drawing and quantity review. Structural loads and anchor selection remain defined by the installation design.
Technical notes
Define the luminaire mounting pattern, support interface, cable passage and drainage arrangement. Include outdoor exposure and cleaning conditions. The base supports the equipment mechanically; the complete fixture's ingress protection also depends on seals, cable entries and assembly.
