Gypsum Investment Powders for Gold and Silver Jewelry Casting

A jewellery investment powder must match its alloy, pattern, flask and burnout cycle. Relia reviews gold and silver gypsum formulations using item-specific data, then defines a representative trial before the material becomes a repeat purchase.

RELIA · PRODUCT AND MANUFACTURING SUPPORT

Define the alloy and pattern system

Relia's range includes a 22.5 kg powder-bag reference and a silver formulation listing 100 g powder to 38–40 ml water, an 8–10-minute working time and a 750°C maximum-burnout field. Relia keeps each value attached to its product. Your proposal identifies the actual pattern, alloy, flask and current process for a relevant material trial.

Review the exact formulation and technical data

Selected formulation
Identify the exact powder and current technical information.
Applicable recipe
Use its own mixing and thermal instructions.

The catalogue includes gypsum investment references for gold and silver. Confirm the selected item and current technical information instead of transferring one powder’s mixing or temperature fields to another formulation.

Technical notes

Measure powder and water consistently and include mixing, vacuuming and pouring within the stated working window. The formulation's 750°C maximum is a limit, not a universal target or complete burnout schedule. Flask size and load affect the required staged cycle.

MANUFACTURING ROUTE · FEATURES AND CONTROL

Make the Investment Mould Within the Formulation Window

The approved powder and measured water are mixed to form the slurry, with the selected vacuum step and pouring completed within the usable working time. After the required setting stage, the invested flask follows a compatible staged burnout cycle before casting. Relia's material review connects these operations to the pattern and flask load. Water ratio affects the mould, while oven maximum temperature and metal-pouring temperature are different conditions. The trial records the complete sequence so surface or mould problems can be discussed using actual process information.

04 · COMPATIBILITY

Review the material alongside the workshop equipment

Workshop equipment
Provide mixer, flask and burnout arrangements.
Usable process
Review batch preparation and the material's working programme.

Share the mixer, flask and burnout arrangement used in your process. Keep usable batch, preparation conditions and the applicable programme within the selected material’s review.

05 · VALIDATION

Approve a representative casting trial

Request the current technical sheet and trial representative patterns. Assess surface condition, incomplete fill and investment removal with the complete process recorded. Listed expansion at or below 0.08% requires its test context; it is not the dimensional tolerance of the resulting jewelry casting.

06 · DELIVERY

Retain lot identity and storage requirements

Agree pack size, moisture protection and required documents.

Agree pack size, moisture protection and applicable storage guidance for the material. Include the lot identification and documents required to connect the trial to a repeat purchase.

07 · PURCHASING

Compare the complete investment supply

Keep formulation, documents, trial and packing requirements together. Clarify any resin, alloy or process change before comparing materials on package weight or price alone.

Technical notes

Provide alloy, wax or resin pattern type, flask dimensions and batch quantity. Powder selection and cycle depend on the pattern and mould requirements. A familiar gypsum powder should not automatically be substituted into a resin-pattern workflow without compatibility review.
