Vacuum Investment-Powder Mixers for Jewelry Casting

A vacuum mixer must prepare the usable investment batch within its working window. Relia reviews powder mass, water ratio, flask workflow and electrical supply together, then compares the selected bowl, pump and mixing configuration.

Describe the investment-mixing workflow

Relia's references include a 900 ml compact mixer with 110/220 V options and a three-phase 380 V vibration-version unit listing 5,500 W. Relia's proposal keeps bowl volume, usable slurry batch, pump and installed power separate. Your team can then compare the configuration needed for its flask sizes and powder rather than translate nominal bowl volume directly into output.

02 · CAPACITY

Size the mixer from the usable batch

Usable batch
State powder mass and the approved water ratio.
Mixer sizing
Confirm working allowance rather than bowl volume alone.

A bowl or vessel label does not automatically describe the usable mixing batch. Confirm the capacity basis and required working allowance for the selected unit and material workflow.

Technical notes

Confirm bowl volume, usable charge, pump, seals and cleaning access. The larger reference mentions a service kit and vacuum pump, but inclusion must appear in the actual quotation. Match three-phase supply and available floor space to the selected configuration.

MANUFACTURING ROUTE · FEATURES AND CONTROL

Mix and De-Air the Investment Within Its Working Window

The powder's approved water ratio establishes the batch recipe. Mixing needs to wet and disperse the powder while the selected vacuum operation removes entrained air; pouring must still finish within the usable working period. Relia's mixer review therefore considers batch mass, bowl headspace, mixing action, discharge and cleaning access together. A larger motor or stronger vacuum does not correct an incorrect recipe. The acceptance trial uses the intended powder and quantity so the prepared slurry and actual pouring sequence can be assessed.

04 · INSTALLATION

Match electrical and workshop conditions

Exact unit
Retain the chosen voltage, phase and power requirements.
Workshop fit
Confirm space, connections and the selected configuration.

The larger reference lists three-phase AC380V and 5500W. Smaller-unit references have different fields and capacities; confirm the exact ordered specification and workspace requirements for the selected mixer.

05 · OPERATION

Review material handling and cleaning requirements

Use the investment supplier’s process information and the machine instructions to define preparation and cleaning needs. Keep compatibility and required accessories explicit in the selection discussion.

Trial batch
Define powder, mass, time and vacuum measurement conditions.
Process result
Assess complete mixing and pouring within the working window.

Define the trial powder, batch mass, mixing time and vacuum measurement conditions. Assess complete mixing and the ability to pour within the working window. Vacuum mixing helps remove entrained air, but it does not correct an incorrect water ratio or an incompatible investment formulation.

07 · PURCHASING

Retain a complete mixer quotation

Keep the usable-batch requirement, electrical configuration, pump and accessories together. Make unresolved process or installation inputs visible before accepting the equipment package.

Technical notes

Calculate the investment batch from flask sizes and the powder's approved water ratio. Include mixing and pouring within the material's working time. A nominal 900 ml capacity does not mean 900 ml of usable powder or a guaranteed number of flasks per batch.
