Custom steel impellers for machinery parts are available through an OEM/ODM casting and machining service. The material directions include mild steel, carbon steel and steel alloys. Sol-based lost-wax investment casting, CNC machining, deburring and finishing provide the manufacturing scope for the selected impeller.
Impeller geometry and dimensional acceptance
Start with the impeller's required shape and the interfaces that connect it to the machinery. The tolerance reference is ±0.01–0.05 mm; identify the drawing features to which the agreed value applies. Connecting that requirement to actual dimensions makes the precision request more useful than assigning the same tolerance to the entire casting without considering its features.
Cast form and secondary machining
The process continues from casting through CNC machining, deburring and finish. Tapping, punching and milling are among the available operations to select for the component. Define the work each feature needs and how it relates to the cast geometry, keeping material grade and dimensional acceptance aligned through the manufacturing inquiry.
- Choose the steel grade for the machinery role.
- Identify the features requiring secondary operations.
- Agree the dimensional and rotational acceptance for the impeller.
Zinc-plated surfaces and machinery interfaces
Galvanized zinc plating is the finish direction for the steel impeller. Specify the surfaces to be treated and consider their relationship to mating interfaces and the final dimensional requirements. The finish and component fit should be reviewed together for the actual machinery and its service conditions. This gives the OEM/ODM discussion a defined impeller, material and acceptance scope without substituting a generic steel component.
