Material Grades304, 304L, 316, 316L, 2205, 2207 and more
Custom stainless steel investment castings offer material directions including 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 2205 and 2207. CNC finishing is available, with CT4–CT7 as the casting tolerance reference. The service supports component requests for automotive, railway, marine, food-processing and chemical-processing applications.
Grade and service requirements
Select the exact stainless steel grade for the intended component and its operating conditions. Define the required geometry and service criteria together, so the material discussion addresses the actual automotive, railway, marine or processing part. The selected grade and application requirements should remain connected throughout the casting review.
Cast geometry and CNC finishing
Identify which dimensions are controlled in the investment casting and which areas require CNC finishing. Apply the CT4–CT7 reference to agreed casting characteristics, then define the dimensional acceptance needed for the finished component. Drawing inputs include 2D PDF/CAD and 3D IGES/STEP, supporting a clear description of those areas.
Surface treatment and inspection methods
Painting, shot blasting, shot peening, polishing and electroplating are available surface directions. Testing and inspection support includes spectrometer, ultrasonic and X-ray work, chemical and mechanical analysis, and NDT. Select the relevant treatments and evaluation methods for the grade and component, with acceptance criteria for the surfaces and characteristics being checked.
A useful request combines the grade, drawing geometry, casting dimensions, CNC-finishing requirements and applicable inspection scope. That makes the proposed stainless steel component and its required finished condition clear within the intended service context.
