OEM stainless steel lost wax investment casting and CNC machining are available as a combined custom component service. Size follows the customer's drawing or sample, with VDG P690 D2 as the casting-tolerance reference. The enquiry can therefore address the cast body and the dimensions intended for subsequent machining together.
Define the stainless steel component from its drawing or sample
A drawing or sample establishes the required size and shape for the custom casting. Identify the stainless steel grade as part of that definition, since the material family alone does not specify the component's grade. Where a sample is the starting point, agree the dimensions that will govern acceptance of the new part.
Apply VDG P690 D2 to the casting dimensions
VDG P690 D2 is the reference for casting tolerance. Identify the dimensions to which this designation applies when reviewing the component geometry. If particular dimensions must be accepted after machining, define those requirements separately so that the casting reference and final CNC acceptance each have an agreed role.
Connect the cast body with the CNC work
The service includes both casting and machining, with CNC machining available for the requested component work. Mark the surfaces, datums and interfaces that require a machined condition. Keeping those requirements alongside the drawing or sample makes the enquiry specific to the stainless steel part: its required material, its cast form and the dimensions that matter in its finished condition.
