Custom resin sand casting is offered for machine bed bases, with iron, stainless steel and alloy steel material choices. Anticorrosive and anti-rust painting forms part of the offer. OEM/ODM support makes this a drawing-led casting inquiry in which the metal, production route and finished surface can be considered together.
Choosing the metal for the base
An iron specification should distinguish a gray-iron requirement from a ductile-iron requirement and identify the intended grade. Stainless steel and alloy steel are additional material choices, so the word iron alone should not determine the final specification. Select the metal against the part design and application requirements, then keep that designation consistent through casting, machining and inspection discussions.
- Machine bed base
- Use the base drawing to define the relevant faces and dimensional acceptance criteria.
- Water engineering or mining work
- Connect the material and coating requirements to the intended part and service conditions.
Agreeing the casting and machining route
The process choices also include lost wax, clay sand, shell molding and lost foam casting, alongside CNC machining. These choices provide routes to discuss for the particular part; they should be resolved into an agreed production plan. Identify which geometry belongs to the casting and which areas require machining so that the inquiry describes a coherent finished component.
Painting and acceptance for the finished part
Anticorrosive and anti-rust painting gives the surface discussion a specific direction, but the required coating system and acceptance criteria still belong to the project. Inspection support includes three-coordinate measurement and laboratory testing. Pair the dimensional checkpoints with the material and painting requirements, then agree what inspection will establish for the machine base, water-engineering component or mining part.
