OEM investment-casting enquiries include stainless steel and aluminum alloy. The casting-tolerance reference is +/-0.02mm, with the actual material, controlled dimensions and acceptance scope to agree. Define the requested component and grade before selecting the finished requirements.
Allocate the casting tolerance
Identify the casting dimensions to which the required tolerance applies and agree the process and inspection scope. Keep those controlled dimensions with the same component drawing and material selection used for the enquiry. This gives the numerical reference a specific part requirement rather than a universal value for every surface.
Choose the material-specific treatment
Spray treatment, electroplating and anodization are surface directions. Select the actual treatment for the chosen material and define the finished condition expected on the component. Agree the spray/coating requirements where that treatment is requested, without assuming a particular formulation from the general process name.
- Drawing-file directions
- PDF, CAD, 3D, STP and AI file directions, with the actual submission and acceptance to agree.
- OEM input
- Actual grade, component geometry, casting dimensions and surface criteria.
Agree full-inspection acceptance
100% inspection is offered for the OEM castings. Define the checked characteristics and records needed for the selected component and its finished condition. ISO9001:2015 is a certification reference whose applicable scope should be confirmed. Provide those criteria with the component files, material and tolerance allocation to establish the proposed casting work.
