OEM custom component enquiries include rapid-prototype casting and machining, with sheet-metal bending spare parts, stamping parts and punching as other manufacturing directions. CNC and micro machining are available. Select the actual component and route so the review addresses its material, drawing and finished result.
Material roles and component choice
Metal capabilities include aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, hardened metals, precious metals, stainless steel and steel alloys. Metal and plastic component requests need their own material role and manufacturing choice. Identify the grade, component geometry and actual duty before selecting the casting, sheet-metal or machining scope.
Machining and prototype operations
Operation directions include broaching, drilling, etching or chemical machining, laser machining, milling, other machining services, turning, wire EDM and rapid prototyping. Choose the actual operations and micro geometry needed for the part. Define the accepted dimensional and inspection result for those selected processes.
Painted surface and finished condition
Painted finish is a named direction for the component enquiry. Identify the material and surfaces it covers, together with the required finished condition. Agree the dimensional and surface checks for the requested casting, machined or sheet-metal part.
OEM drawing and design-file inputs
Software references include Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, Unigraphics and Auto CAD. File-format directions are IGS, STP, STL and X-T. Provide the actual component drawing and intended duty with the selected material, manufacturing operations and accepted finished result. These inputs define the custom OEM request for the part being reviewed.
