OEM and ODM mechanical-engineering enquiries use lost wax investment casting with silica-sol and medium-temperature wax directions. Custom manufacturing includes design support. Define the material, component drawing and working conditions before agreeing the required casting and subsequent operations.

Size-based precision and as-cast surface

Precision references are CT5–CT12 and +/-0.05–0.5mm by size. Identify the dimensions and manufacturing stage covered by each requirement, with acceptance agreed for the actual component. The as-cast surface reference is Ra1.6–3.2 Micro. Confirm the roughness unit and the surfaces being assessed, together with any selected electropolishing service.

Heat treatment and secondary work

Quenching and tempering, normalizing and annealing are heat-treatment directions. In-house CNC machining, polishing and assembly are secondary process capabilities. Select the treatment and operations for the material and geometry. Define the working details and accepted dimensional, surface and assembly result for those operations.

Testing and project documents

Testing services include CMM inspection, a material spectral report and PT, MT and NDT directions. Choose the applicable methods, coverage and acceptance criteria for the part. ISO9001, COC material traceability and PPAP support are document or service references. Agree the required documents and project scope with the selected manufacturing and inspection requirements.

Component application and accepted duty

Pump impellers, valve bodies, marine hardware and food or medical parts are named application directions. Identify the actual component and its operating requirements. Bring those conditions together with the grade, drawing, size-based criteria, finish and selected test/document requirements when defining the custom engineering request.
