Custom steel and iron parts use lost-wax investment casting with CNC and sand casting with CNC as manufacturing directions. Carbon steel, stainless steel, gray iron and ductile iron are material choices. OEM and ODM service supports the selected component and its accepted manufacturing requirements.
Material and application definition
Agricultural, engineering-machinery and automobile parts are named applications. Select the actual grade and drawing for the requested component. Describe the working conditions and identify the dimensions and working details relevant to that use. Agree the investment or sand-casting route and selected CNC scope for the actual geometry.
Quench, temper and selected finish
Quenching and tempering are treatment directions. Polishing, sand blasting, color anodizing and plating are finish options to select for the actual material. Define the treatment requirements and the areas needing the chosen surface operation. Agree the accepted dimensional, surface and appearance result for the component.
Inspection and governing documents
MT, UT, RT and CMM are inspection directions. Select the methods, coverage and acceptance criteria relevant to the requested part. Standard-system references include ASTM, AISI, DIN, BS, JIS and AS. ISO9001:2008 and ISO/TS16949 are certification references with applicable documents and scope to confirm.
- Defined operations
- Bring the grade, drawing, casting route and selected CNC, treatment and finish requirements together.
- Accepted result
- Agree the dimensional and inspection criteria with the component's actual operating conditions.
