ADC12 and A380 aluminum die-casting requests can include drilling, milling and other machining services. This OEM/ODM work combines custom components with surface-treatment and logo options, with a minimum order of 10 pieces.

Choose the alloy before defining secondary work

Identify whether ADC12 or A380 is required for the aluminum component and describe the finished shape. Then mark the areas that need drilling or milling, including the dimensions that relate those areas to the rest of the casting. The casting and machining portions should form one agreed component definition rather than separate descriptions of an unfinished and finished part.

Make dimensional acceptance specific to the operation

Agree the tolerance for each relevant dimension and identify whether it applies to the cast or machined condition. The surface roughness direction is Ra0.2–Ra3.2, with units, surfaces and the inspection method to be defined for the order. This allows a machined interface and a surface accepted after casting to have requirements appropriate to their roles.

Coordinate treatment and custom branding

Anodizing, polishing, plating and painting are treatment directions to consider for the chosen material. Define which surfaces receive treatment and how the final appearance will be accepted. A custom logo can also be included, with its position and artwork agreed alongside the finish so branding becomes part of the component definition.

  1. Confirm the selected aluminum alloy and finished geometry.
  2. Assign machining and acceptance criteria to the relevant dimensions.
  3. Identify treatment areas and the required logo presentation.

Keep other material requests separate

The wider material-service menu includes brass, stainless steel, titanium and plastic as well as aluminum. Each request needs its own appropriate manufacturing route. Use the aluminum die-casting direction for the selected aluminum component, and agree the process separately when the inquiry concerns another material.
