FeatureSaltwater Corrosion Resistance,Pressure Tested
Custom marine centrifugal-pump and boat impeller work includes 316 stainless steel investment casting, with precision lost-wax casting and CNC finishing. OEM/ODM service connects the impeller geometry with the material, casting route and finished interfaces required by the pump.
Match the material and casting route to the impeller
Material enquiries include stainless steel, an appropriate ASTM A351 grade, carbon steel, iron and corrosion-resistant steel. Identify the selected alloy and standard for the actual marine component. Lost-wax casting with CNC finishing is the detailed route, while a sand-casting alternative needs agreement for the chosen part. CT6–CT7 per ISO8062 provides the casting-tolerance basis; mark critical final CNC dimensions and mating interfaces separately.
Connect the final surface with saltwater duty
Polishing, heat treatment, blasting and customer-selected surface requirements are available for the impeller work. Match the chosen alloy and finish to the saltwater medium, operating conditions and corrosion-resistance acceptance. Provide the impeller drawing and relevant pump interfaces so the final component requirements can be reviewed together. The material family alone should not become a universal corrosion-life or pump-performance promise.
Review pressure-test and certificate applicability
Pressure testing is part of the marine casting scope. Agree the test object, method, pressure and acceptance, then request the report relevant to that component. ISO9001 quality-management and PED2014/68/EU documentation scope also need to match the supplied part and application. Confirm those records alongside the selected material, geometry and operating duty, distinguishing component evidence from the approval or performance of a complete centrifugal-pump assembly.
