OEM custom metal manufacturing covers stainless-, carbon- and alloy-steel directions through lost-wax investment casting. Dimensions follow the customer's requirements. Auto parts, electronic components and the instrument industry are application directions for defining the actual component and its required acceptance.
Material and drawing for the intended part
Select the exact steel grade for the component's function and operating conditions. Drawing inputs include 2D PDF/CAD and 3D IGES/STEP, allowing the inquiry to define its form, dimensions and interfaces. Connect the selected material to that geometry so the custom manufacturing request addresses a particular auto, electronic or instrument component.
Four machining numerical references
Machining references are 0.02 mm, 0.01 mm, 0.10 mm and 0.15 mm. Define the dimensional meaning and sign of the selected value, along with the drawing areas it applies to. Agree the actual machining requirement for those dimensions so the numerical reference has a clear role in the component's acceptance.
Powder-paint, zinc and galvanizing directions
Surface directions include powder-paint spraying, zinc plating and galvanizing. Choose the actual treatment for the selected grade and identify the component surfaces it affects. The required finished condition should relate to the part's dimensions and operating environment, with the applicable surface acceptance agreed for that work.
Applicable standard and component acceptance
Standard families include JIS, BS, ANSI, DIN, GB, ASME, ASTM and AISI. Choose the exact requirement for the material and component. Its drawing, selected machining reference, finish and intended-use acceptance should provide a consistent basis for defining the OEM lost-wax manufacturing scope.
