Metal-casting service directions cover iron, aluminum and stainless-steel components through vacuum/lost-wax investment casting. CNC and micro machining are available, with broaching, drilling, laser machining, milling and other machining services. The actual material, component geometry and selected cast/machined scope define the supplied part and its required acceptance.
Vacuum/lost-wax scope for the selected component
Identify the actual casting route and the material designation required for the part. Define the important geometry and supplied condition for that component. Relate those requirements to the selected manufacturing work, establishing the cast dimensions and interfaces that the actual part request needs to address. Distinguish the areas being cast from those requiring CNC or micro-machining, and set the finished-condition requirements separately for the selected areas.
Broaching, drilling, laser machining or milling
Choose the operations needed for the actual component and identify the areas requiring CNC or micro-machining work. Define the controlled dimensions and finished interfaces for those selected operations. Agree the measurement and inspection requirements, connecting the machining scope to the cast geometry and supplied-part acceptance.
Broader metals and finished-area requirements
Material capabilities also include brass, bronze, copper, hardened metals and precious metals alongside aluminum and stainless steel. Select the actual material and applicable casting/machining combination. Define the required supplied surfaces and their acceptance, relating those conditions to the component geometry, controlled dimensions and operations included in the manufacturing request.
