Custom pump impellers are offered in 304, 304L, 316 or 316L stainless steel through an OEM/ODM casting and machining service. Lost-wax casting and CNC machining provide the manufacturing direction. Size can be customized for the selected pump component and its required geometry.
Four stainless grades and custom impeller geometry
Choose the actual grade for the pump's intended service and define the impeller shape and mating interfaces. Cast and CNC-machined features should be identified within that design. The material and geometry can then be reviewed together with the medium and operating conditions required by the application.
CT grades, machining precision and surface roughness
Technical references include CT4–CT6, 0.01 mm machining precision and Ra 3.2–6.3 μm surface roughness. Relate each requirement to the relevant drawing features and agree its scope, tolerance sign and acceptance conditions. That separates the casting, machining and surface decisions while keeping them connected to the same impeller.
Passivation and polished surface choices
Surface options are passivation, brush polishing and mirror polishing. Select the treatment for the chosen material and the actual surfaces, taking dimensional and appearance acceptance into account. Identify the interfaces or other areas where the finish requirement must be considered alongside the final geometry.
Pump-service acceptance for the OEM/ODM part
Define the pump service, mating fit and operating or rotational requirements for the selected impeller. Agree the checks needed for dimensional, surface and required performance acceptance. These decisions connect the custom size, grade, technical references and finish to the actual component being reviewed through the OEM/ODM service.
