OEM/ODM custom steel-part inquiries include stainless-steel and heat-resistant cast-steel directions through investment, silica-sol and lost-wax casting. CNC machining is an actual work direction, with surface treatment to customer request and 100% inspection for the casting work.

Resolve the actual steel and thermal service

Choose the exact grade for the stainless, carbon-metal or heat-resistant cast-steel work being discussed. Establish the component's industrial function and thermal-service requirements for that material. The grade and operating conditions provide a useful basis for discussing heat resistance without assigning an unspecified service-temperature value.

Cast geometry and the CNC dimensions

Define the component's cast form and the dimensions or interfaces that need CNC machining. Agree the finished geometry at those locations and relate it to the intended assembly fit. The investment/silica-sol/lost-wax and CNC directions can then be assigned to a particular part rather than a general manufacturing description.

The customer-requested surface condition

Specify the surface condition required for the selected steel and the areas it applies to. Agree the intended finished appearance and acceptance alongside the casting and CNC dimensions. This makes the requested treatment useful for the actual component without assuming a polishing, plating or coating method before one has been selected.

Full inspection for the chosen steel casting

The custom steel casting direction includes 100% inspection, with the actual checks agreed against the component's requirements. Identify the dimensional, surface and thermal-use acceptance relevant to the chosen grade and geometry. The resulting OEM/ODM scope connects the casting, CNC work and requested surface condition to a defined finished-part requirement.
