Custom steel foundry parts are developed around the component drawing, with precision molding, investment casting and die casting enquiries considered for the required project. Size, wall thickness and surface treatment are customized. Selecting the actual steel grade and manufacturing route is an early decision because the drawing must describe a feasible casting rather than a generic process name.

Build the steel part around its drawn sections

The component specification and wall thickness follow the drawing, so identify the sections and mating dimensions that govern the part's function. Mark critical dimensions and the drawing revision used for the enquiry. Any proposed changes to wall design should be reviewed against the intended assembly and selected casting route rather than an assumed minimum wall value.

Define the required surface and material condition

Custom surface treatment allows the enquiry to describe the required appearance and service environment. State which surfaces matter and the criteria for accepting them, then agree the particular treatment for the steel part. Heat treatment is also included in the inspection scope, making the required material condition and its acceptance records relevant to the project discussion.

Carry design requirements into finished inspection

The full-process service extends from design through completion of the manufacturing project. Inspection scope covers raw material control, heat treatment and finished product inspection. Define the required checks at these stages and connect finished dimensional acceptance to the approved drawing. A clear steel designation, section layout and inspection plan give the foundry a practical basis for evaluating the investment or die casting enquiry.
