ToleranceCustomer's Drawing Request
Custom OEM and ODM ductile, nodular and SG-iron sand-casting enquiries include FCD500 and ASTM A536 reference directions. Select the actual grade and governing document for the auto machinery component. Gray iron is another material option requiring its own agreed specification.
Iron grade and component requirements
Define the selected iron and its applicable document with the component drawing. The FCD500 and ASTM A536 references are not an automatic equivalence or a fixed set of properties for every part. Identify the working conditions and accepted material requirements for the requested auto machinery casting. Agree those details with the actual geometry and intended service.
Custom sizes and drawing tolerance
Sizes are customized and tolerance follows the customer's drawing request. Identify the dimensions, interfaces and surface requirements that govern the component's use. The current drawing and accepted criteria should describe the cast part. Define those requirements with the selected grade rather than assigning a numerical tolerance that has not been supplied.
Inspection and accepted casting
Quality control states 100% inspection under an ISO9001 system, with ISO9001 as the certification reference. Agree the characteristics to inspect and the acceptance criteria for the actual component. Confirm the applicable quality documents alongside the material, drawing revision, working conditions and dimensional and surface requirements. This establishes the accepted result for the OEM or ODM sand-casting enquiry.
