Custom metal machinery-part enquiries combine investment or lost-wax casting with heat treatment, machining if needed and surface treatment. Select the actual metal and component drawing, then agree the operations and accepted finished dimensions. The manufacturing request should identify which details need subsequent machining.
Large-part geometry and drawing inputs
Large-part enquiries reference 120cm and larger, with the actual component envelope to be confirmed. Identify the dimensions and geometry needed for the requested part. PDF and CAD are 2D drawing formats, while IGES and STEP support 3D geometry. Agree the drawing revision and its relationship to the model before defining the manufacturing scope.
Key dimensions and production checks
The tolerance reference can reach 0.01–0.02mm on key sizes. Identify the dimensions and manufacturing stage covered by that requirement, together with the actual inspection criteria.

- Random quality checks are the stated direction. Agree the characteristics and acceptance relevant to the selected operations.
- Key-size acceptance
- 100% quality checks apply to key sizes. Define those sizes and the accepted result on the component drawing.
Heat treatment, surface and color
Painting, powder coating and surface treatment to request are offered alongside heat treatment. Color directions include Panton color or the customer's drawings or samples. Select the treatment and color for the actual material, and define treated areas and surface acceptance. Bring the component's working conditions together with the grade, envelope, key-size criteria and selected operations for the machinery-part enquiry.
