Custom-designed precision metal parts cover sand, investment and die-casting directions. CT4–CT8 is the casting-tolerance reference, while machining tolerance is ±0.02 mm. Select the actual material, component geometry and manufacturing route, assigning those references to the cast dimensions and machined interfaces required for the supplied part.
Materials and the selected manufacturing task
Material directions include stainless steel, steel, brass, copper, aluminum, iron and plastic. Technology directions cover investment/sand casting, machining, welding and forging, alongside die-casting inquiries. Establish the actual component and material designation, then agree its required manufacturing route. The selected process and material need to address the geometry and function of that specific deliverable.
Broaching, drilling, milling, turning, tapping and wire work
Assign the applicable machining operations to the controlled interfaces. Define the dimensions and measurement basis to which ±0.02 mm applies, separately from the CT4–CT8 casting requirements. Work stages include molds, casting, deburring, machining and surface treatment. Agree the operations and checks needed for the actual geometry throughout that selected manufacturing scope.
Polish, passivation, blast, zinc and black oxide
These are the finish directions for selection according to the actual material and surface requirement. Identify the treated areas and their required appearance and condition. Connect the dimensional and visual acceptance after treatment to the component's important cast or machined interfaces, defining the finished part needed for its intended use.
Standards and the component acceptance
Reference families are ISO, GB, DIN, JIS, ANSI, BSW, ASTM, ASME, BS, API and EN. Agree the applicable material and dimensional requirements within that scope. Relate the chosen standard requirements to the actual cast geometry, machining tolerance and finish, establishing the inspection criteria for the supplied component.
