Custom cast-iron casting enquiries can combine a component-specific casting route with CNC machining, customer-selected color and surface treatment. Size is customized around the required part. For a lost-wax or lost-foam enquiry, establish the intended process with the component geometry before settling the manufacturing plan.
Which casting route suits the component?
Identify the exact cast-iron grade, main sections and functional shape of the part. Discuss lost-wax and lost-foam requirements as distinct route choices, then agree which process applies to the proposed component. Carry that choice into the drawing review so that the casting definition and later machining requirements describe the same finished item.
Connect CNC work to finished geometry
CNC machining service is available for the custom casting. Define the faces, holes or other details that actually require machining, together with their critical dimensions and datum relationships. Agree the necessary axis configuration and operations for that geometry; the machining plan should explain how the required finished shape will be accepted.
Control color, surface and drawing revisions
JPEG, PDF, CAD, IGS and STP drawings can support review of the part. Identify the controlling revision and separate as-cast areas from surfaces that require machining or a customer-selected treatment. Specify the intended color and surface acceptance so that an appearance requirement is considered alongside functional dimensions, rather than being left to a general finish description.
Review the quality-system scope
Use the ISO9001:2008 reference when discussing the applicable current certificate and manufacturing scope. Agree the component's inspection characteristics and acceptance criteria with the selected material, casting route and CNC sequence. This links the quality review to the actual custom cast-iron part being ordered.
