Custom steel investment-casting enquiries can begin with carbon steel, alloy steel or stainless steel. Water-glass and silica-sol investment casting are process directions for the lost wax request. Choose the actual grade and component geometry before selecting the route, machining work and finished condition.
Match the steel to the casting route
Agree the water-glass or silica-sol process for the selected part and its requirements. Keep the actual material grade and drawing together when defining the cast shape and dimensional acceptance. The material and route menus support a component-specific choice rather than one assumed arrangement for every steel enquiry.
Coordinate machining and heat treatment
Machining equipment directions include CNC, lathe, milling-machine and drilling work. Normalizing, tempering and hardening are heat-treatment options. Define the required treated condition and the machining operations needed for the actual component so the proposed work addresses the intended finished part.
Select the plated or polished finish
Zinc plating and mirror polishing are surface directions. Choose the required treatment and agree the finished condition expected on the selected steel part. Connect those surface criteria to the dimensions and treated condition used for component acceptance.
Identify the applicable material document
ASTM, DIN, ISO, BS and JIS are standard families for selecting the actual material document and project requirements. Agree the grade and applicable acceptance rather than assuming simultaneous compliance with every family. Provide the drawing, route, machining, heat-treatment and finish requirements together to establish the proposed steel casting service.
