Custom carbon steel lost-wax investment casting parts are available with CNC precision machining for machinery and industrial use. Stainless steel 304, 316 and 310 provide additional material choices, with the actual alloy selected for the component and its operating duty.

Bring the large-part geometry into the manufacturing review

A large-casting enquiry needs the overall dimensions and geometry of the intended component. Identify the critical interfaces, selected alloy and any dimensional relationships that control its role in the machinery. Review the casting and CNC plan against that actual part size before agreeing the configuration. This makes the large-part discussion specific to the drawing and the required finished component, with its operating environment and mechanical duty identified.

Separate casting precision from the finished surfaces

CT4–CT6 is the casting-tolerance range to consider during dimensional review. Define any final CNC dimensions separately for the interfaces that need them. Sand blasting and polishing are surface-treatment choices; mark the relevant areas and agree how the final surface will be accepted. Keep the chosen treatment connected to fit and appearance requirements so that the casting, machining and finishing stages share a clear component target.

Set the acceptance plan for the selected casting

Inspection coverage for these custom carbon-steel and stainless components is 100%. ISO9001:2015 quality-management certification scope is also part of the service review. Agree the inspection characteristics, methods, acceptance criteria and relevant certificate scope for the selected part. Include the actual component size, material and critical CNC interfaces in that review so the evidence can be checked against the approved drawing. The result is a defined acceptance plan for the individual machinery casting.
