Custom foundry enquiries include brass, bronze and aluminum, alongside stainless steel, alloy steel and carbon steel directions. Choose the actual material and component geometry before agreeing the investment-casting route and further work. The manufacturing request should connect the selected alloy to its own process and finished acceptance.
Choose the material-specific casting scope
Water-glass and silica-sol investment casting are process directions. Agree the actual route for the requested material rather than assuming the same arrangement applies to every metal in the enquiry. Keep the component drawing and selected grade together when setting the casting dimensions and requirements.
Define machining and treated condition
CNC, lathe, milling-machine and drilling work are machining directions. Normalizing, tempering and hardening are heat-treatment options whose actual material and component scope should be established. Select the operations and treated condition required by the chosen part rather than transferring one material's processing plan to another.
Select the finished surface
Zinc plating and mirror polishing are finish directions. Choose the treatment needed for the actual material and define the finished condition to be accepted. Connect those criteria to the component dimensions and any machining or treatment work included in the proposed scope.
Identify the applicable grade document
ASTM, DIN, ISO, BS and JIS are standard families for selecting the actual grade document and requirements. Agree the applicable material specification and component acceptance. Provide the alloy, drawing, actual route and finished work requirements together to establish the custom casting and machining enquiry.
