Shape the signet face around the engraving
Begin with the ring size, signet-face shape and the artwork that gives the piece its personal meaning. Show the required lettering or design layout and its position on the face so that the engraving and ring geometry can be reviewed together. A clear dimensional drawing and artwork approval connect the personalized decoration to a ring that fits the intended wearer.
Select the base metal and finished appearance
Choose the base metal before agreeing the chrome-plated surface and color reference. Specify the required RAL or Pantone reference and approve a finish sample for that material. For no-lead/no-nickel requirements, agree the applicable composition limits and supporting tests for the chosen base metal and plating. Finished-ring skin-contact requirements should relate to that actual configuration, rather than a general jewelry label.
