Connect a custom casting enquiry with the milling and surface work needed for the finished component. Material directions include aluminum, iron, stainless steel and brass, with investment/lost-wax casting enquiries and specific stainless steel CNC milling and polishing support.
Choose the material and define the cast part
Select the actual grade within the required metal family and identify the component geometry. Agree the investment-casting scope for that material and shape, including the dimensions that need to be carried into the finished-part definition. Keep the casting and subsequent work connected to the same component requirement.
Locate the CNC-milled areas on the component
Stainless steel CNC milling is a concrete operation available for the enquiry. Mark the features needing that work and identify the dimensions or surfaces they must achieve. Agree the machining requirements together with the cast geometry so the request distinguishes the shape to be cast from the features to be finished by milling.
- Cast geometry
- Define the component shape and material selected for the casting enquiry.
- Milled geometry
- Identify the features that require CNC milling and the acceptance they need to meet.
Set the polished surface requirement
Polishing is a surface-treatment direction for the stainless steel work. Identify the areas requiring that condition and describe their finished-surface acceptance. Agree the polishing scope alongside the milling requirements so the component request has a consistent material, geometry and finished-condition definition.
