Custom 304 stainless steel impeller wear rings use precision-shaped, tight-fit design with pump efficiency as the intended aim. OEM/ODM lost wax investment casting and CNC machining follow customer drawings. The actual mating dimensions, finish and operating requirements should define the ring selected for the pump.

Translate the pump fit into the wear-ring drawing

Identify the ring geometry, mating interfaces and required working clearance for the pump design. A tight-fit description should be tied to those actual dimensions and the intended service. Review the fit and its performance acceptance for the particular pump, keeping the efficiency objective connected to the component design.

Select the material and custom machined condition

304 stainless steel is the primary material, with 316 stainless steel and carbon steel as additional enquiries. Select the exact grade before agreeing the lost wax and CNC route. Dimensions and surface finish are customized, so identify the controlled interfaces and required finished condition on the wear-ring drawing when discussing the component.

Agree the ring inspection and qualification scope

The impeller wear-ring components are subject to 100% inspection. Specify the checks and acceptance criteria that address the ring's dimensions, mating condition and selected finish. Qualification references include ISO9001, TS16949 and RoHS, with their current object and scope confirmed for the required material and component. Bring these requirements into the same order review as the pump fit, so the inspected ring is assessed against the actual design and intended duty.
