Custom investment casting produces precision metal parts for automotive and industrial hardware enquiries. Material choices include 304 stainless steel, carbon steel, cast steel and cast iron, with customer-specified metals and alloys considered for the selected component. Lost wax casting and secondary machining, including CNC work, support the required finished geometry.

Start with the component and its interfaces

Housings, brackets, clamps and flanges are the named component types. Each enquiry can therefore begin with a defined part rather than a broad request for metal casting. Identify the exact material grade and the dimensions that connect the component to its assembly. For an automotive part or industrial fitting, the drawing should make those interfaces easy to distinguish from general external geometry.

Develop ribs, bosses, cavities and lugs

Custom ribs, bosses, cavities and mounting lugs are available geometry enquiries. Their placement and dimensions belong with the main component drawing so the casting and secondary work can address the same shape. Identify any areas requiring CNC machining and their final condition. This helps keep cast geometry and subsequently machined surfaces connected throughout the component discussion.

Select polishing or a matte condition

Polishing and matte finish are the two named surface options. Define the required condition by surface, particularly where appearance requirements meet assembly interfaces. Custom sizing allows the part to be described around those actual requirements. Dimensional tolerances, finish acceptance and the inspection requested for the selected component should be agreed together. These details make a housing, bracket, clamp or flange enquiry useful for reviewing the complete casting and machining work.
