Custom 304/316 stainless-steel cast parts use the lost-wax route with mirror polishing. Dimensions and color follow the customer requirement, making the selected geometry and visible-surface definition central to the request. The actual grade and finished condition should be chosen for the component and its intended function.
304 or 316 for the selected part
Identify which stainless-steel grade is required and the operating conditions the component will encounter. Connect that choice to the part geometry, mating areas and its actual function. The material and dimensions should describe the same component, with acceptance criteria that reflect the intended fit and use of the finished casting.
Where the mirror finish is required
Define the surfaces receiving the mirror-polished treatment and the visual result needed for the part. Identify how those polished areas meet edges, mating features and other important geometry. Agree their finished appearance together with dimensional inspection, so the selected polish is considered within the complete component requirement.
Custom dimensions and color acceptance
Specify the actual dimensions and the requested color for the chosen casting. Relate those appearance requirements to the mirror-polished areas and the component's intended use. Agree how the finished dimensions, color and polished surfaces will be accepted for this particular part. That combination gives the lost-wax request a clear geometry and appearance definition linked to its selected 304 or 316 material and functional interfaces.
