Steel automobile parts use water-glass lost-wax investment casting and CNC machining, with quenching, tempering, shot blasting and assembly in the manufacturing scope. The component review can connect its cast geometry to finished interfaces, heat-treatment condition and required assembly result. Select the steel grade against the actual automobile-part duty.
Plan the heat-treatment and machining sequence
Quenching and tempering use two mesh-belt furnaces. Machining facilities comprise 50+ machining centers and 80+ CNC machines, supporting review of the required finished operations. Define the features that need CNC work and agree their dimensional acceptance alongside the selected heat-treated condition, rather than separating material condition from final geometry.
Link shot blasting to the assembly result
Shot blasting and assembly are included in the process scope. State the surface condition, mating relationships and assembled fit required by the automobile component. Review the relevant cast and machined interfaces together, so that the agreed manufacturing sequence leads to a clearly defined finished part and assembly acceptance.
Choose the inspection coverage and criteria
Inspection includes MT, UT, RT and CMM, together with 100% visual and 100% gage checks. Specify which methods apply to the selected geometry and material condition, and identify the acceptance criteria for each relevant characteristic. Keep the visual, dimensional and other selected inspection results connected to the same component definition.
Select the applicable standard and system scope
ASTM, AISI, DIN, BS, JIS, NF and AS requirements can be reviewed for the exact steel specification and part. Confirm the applicable IATF16949 and ISO14001 certificate scope during the manufacturing review. Bring the material, heat treatment, assembly and inspection requirements together in the final acceptance plan for the automobile casting.
