Steel pump and valve fitting inquiries combine lost-wax investment casting with CNC machining. The actual fitting grade, geometry and interface requirements should be defined for the selected pump or valve arrangement. Quenching, tempering, shot blasting and assembly provide further work directions for that component.
Treatment and facilities for the steel fitting
For the steel fitting work, quench-and-temper processing uses two mesh-belt furnaces. Facility references also include 50+ machining centers and 80+ CNC machines for the machining discussion. Define the required treated condition, shot-blasted surfaces and assembly content alongside the casting and CNC dimensions, keeping the actual work scope connected to the fitting geometry.
Fitting inspection and standard selection
The fitting inspection direction specifies 100% visual checks and 100% gauge checks, alongside MT, UT, RT and CMM capabilities. Select the actual methods and acceptance criteria required for the component. Standard references are ASTM, AISI, DIN, BS, JIS, NF and AS; identify the applicable designation and steel grade with the dimensional and treatment requirements.
Pump or valve interface and intended service
Establish the mating interface and the operating conditions that the fitting must meet in the selected arrangement. Include any required medium, pressure and temperature acceptance in that component definition. Relate those requirements to the actual grade, treated condition, dimensions and inspection criteria, so the casting inquiry addresses a defined pump/valve fitting task and the finished acceptance needed for it.
