A stainless steel mounting block wedge can be custom cast for agricultural machinery, construction and industrial equipment. SS304 or SS316 can be requested, with investment casting, machining and polishing used to develop the component around the required mounting geometry and finished condition.
Describe the wedge contact geometry
Provide the wedge profile and the faces that contact the surrounding machine components. Identify the mounting arrangement and any machined dimensions that determine fit. These details give the casting proposal a defined interface to the equipment and establish which geometry should be reviewed during sample acceptance.
- Mark the contact faces and wedge profile on the drawing.
- Identify the dimensions that locate the block in its mounting arrangement.
- Separate cast features from surfaces requiring a machined finish.
Select the stainless material and finished surface
Choose SS304, SS316 or another requested material against the installation environment and intended duty. Polishing, plating and powder coating can be discussed for the surfaces identified in the design. The silica sol casting range is CT4–9, so specify the applicable class and dimensions alongside any separate limits required for machined contact faces.
Approve the sample for the machine installation
The sample wedge is subject to 100% inspection, with the checkpoints to be agreed for its geometry, material and surface condition. Review those results against the drawing and the intended mounting interfaces, then define the inspection scope needed for production. Include the service loads and installation requirements in the engineering approval so fit and load acceptance address the actual agricultural, construction or industrial machine.
