Turbine and compressor gas-turbine wheel casting enquiries include SGT 400, 600, 700 and 800 series references, together with Incoloy 800HT, 825, 901 and 925 material requests. Investment and vacuum casting are among the service routes. Establish the particular component and alloy before defining a manufactured replacement or assigning a material to an equipment series.
Start with the wheel and alloy requirement
A series reference alone does not establish interchangeability, dimensions or a particular alloy-to-part match. Define the component using the actual wheel requirements before proceeding with the casting enquiry.
- Provide the component drawing, equipment reference and intended operating conditions.
- Identify the requested Incoloy grade and agree the required ASTM document.
- Confirm the dimensional, material and application acceptance requirements for the wheel to be made.
Available casting and material directions
Sand casting, lost wax casting, investment casting and vacuum casting form the available process menu. Broader material families include Inconel, Nimonic, Hastelloy, Nickel and Stellite. Tube, foil, roll, plate and rod are stated form directions requiring selection for the actual work. Casting with machining if needed is offered; agree the operations required for the component geometry.
Define the finished surface and service scope
OEM and ODM services are available, with ISO9001:2015 referenced for the service. Anodizing and polishing are surface options; clarify the additional coating type before specifying its chemistry or thickness. Automotive, construction and medical applications are broader service directions, each requiring its own component acceptance. Agree the wheel material, process, final dimensions and relevant quality documents before establishing its suitability for the intended turbine or compressor.
