Define a custom metal component through its material, dimensions and required surface treatment. This OEM and ODM casting service covers cast iron parts and zinc, magnesium or aluminum casting enquiries, with the final manufacturing route agreed for the selected material and geometry.
Choose the metal before fixing the process
The component material follows the customer's requirements, so a broad casting enquiry should become a specific grade and part definition. Cast iron and the named zinc, magnesium and aluminum options should not be treated as one interchangeable material choice. Establish which metal is required and confirm the appropriate casting route for that component before approving the production scope.
Read the precision requirement dimension by dimension
A tolerance of 0.01 mm is given for the custom casting service. Identify the particular dimensions that require this level of control and agree how those dimensions will be inspected. Keep the overall custom size, assembly interfaces and critical dimensions clear on the same drawing, so the accuracy requirement has an agreed scope rather than an assumed application to every surface.
Use the drawing files to settle size and finish
Enquiries can use 2D PDF or CAD drawings and 3D IGES or STEP files. Include the required material and surface treatment with those files, since both are customer-defined parts of the manufacturing brief. When a model and drawing serve different purposes, make clear which document controls the dimensions and which describes the shape.
OEM and ODM requests can therefore begin with the same practical questions: what component is needed, which metal is intended, and what dimensional and surface acceptance will define the finished part? Answering these points gives the casting proposal a clear technical basis.
