OEM steel precision-part enquiries use lost wax investment casting with CNC machining. Select the actual steel grade and component drawing, then agree the heat treatment, finished working dimensions and surface condition. These requirements define the manufacturing and accepted result for the requested part.
Steel specification and working dimensions
ASTM, AISI, DIN, BS, JIS, NF and AS are standard-system references for the enquiry. Identify the governing document and grade required for the component. The drawing should define its controlled dimensions and working details, with the intended service conditions and dimensional acceptance agreed for the selected material.
Heat treatment and manufacturing resources
Quenching and tempering are offered through two mesh-belt furnaces. Machining resources include 50+ machining centers and 80+ CNC machines, with shot blasting and assembly as additional process directions. Define the treatment specification, features requiring CNC work and the accepted result for those operations. Agree the required surface condition and assembly scope with the component geometry.
Inspection methods and applicable records
The inspection directions include MT, UT, RT and CMM, together with 100% visual inspection and 100% gauge inspection. Select the methods, coverage and acceptance criteria required for the actual part, keeping the two percentage references with visual and gauge checks. IATF16949 and ISO14001 are certification references. Confirm the applicable documents with the grade, drawing, selected treatment and dimensional, surface and inspection requirements for the OEM enquiry.
