OEM/ODM investment cast components combine CNC machining with customized sizes for industrial projects. CT4–CT7 is the casting tolerance reference, while the actual steel or stainless steel grade should be selected explicitly for the component being requested.
Grade selection for the custom component
Steel material directions include Q235, #40 steel, #45 steel, 30Mn, 40Mn and 50Mn. A stainless steel enquiry should identify its own exact grade, with the chosen designation tied to the particular component requirement. Keeping the grade explicit allows the industrial casting discussion to address the actual material and geometry without relying on a broad steel name.
CT4–CT7 casting and CNC dimensions
The CT4–CT7 reference concerns casting tolerance. Keep the grade designation consistent between the casting requirement and the CNC dimensional acceptance plan. CNC machining is a further part of the manufacturing direction, so identify the dimensions and surfaces that require machining and give them the appropriate acceptance criteria. Distinguishing those machined requirements from the casting grade keeps the custom-size discussion focused on the finished component's particular geometry.
Industrial OEM/ODM acceptance references
GB, ASTM, AISI, DIN and BS are standard-reference families for defining the project requirement. Select the relevant standard and connect it to the chosen grade, dimensions and casting acceptance points. The OEM/ODM enquiry can then describe one coherent industrial component, with any required ISO9001:2015 certificate scope confirmed as part of sourcing qualification.
