Custom aluminum machine bodies and precision housings can be discussed for OEM batch production, with CNC milling, turning and lathing among the processing directions. Silver or custom colors, customer logos and the final surface finish can be selected for the housing requirement.
Define the housing around its machine interfaces
Use the component geometry to identify the machined interfaces and the dimensions that control assembly. Size and dimensions are customized, so the drawing should describe the actual housing rather than only a general machine-body shape. Agree the aluminum grade and the casting or CNC supply scope with those interface requirements.
Put the machining scope on the drawing
Milling and turning can be combined with selected operations such as drilling, broaching, wire EDM, laser machining or etching and chemical machining. Rapid prototyping is also a broader service direction. This scope is non-micro machining; define the required feature dimensions, tolerances and inspection acceptance for the selected housing.
Choose color, finish and logo as one requirement
Specify the silver appearance or custom color you want together with the exact final surface treatment. Mark the customer-logo placement and identify any machined areas where the finished condition must preserve fit. The requested appearance can then be considered alongside the housing geometry rather than as a separate assumption.
- Housing definition
- Selected aluminum grade, custom geometry and machine interfaces.
- Machining definition
- Required operations and dimension-specific acceptance.
- Batch definition
- Quantity, agreed color/finish and customer-logo requirements.
For wider metal-machining inquiries, identify the chosen material and component scope separately from the aluminum housing. Bringing the drawing, operations and final appearance together gives the OEM batch request a clear finished-part requirement.
