OEM and ODM precision casting services offer aluminum, Zamak, zinc and stainless steel directions. Lost wax investment casting and precision die casting with machining are routes to select for the actual material and component. Secondary work includes machining, surface treatment and heat-treatment requests.
Choose the metal and casting route
Define the part geometry and exact grade within the four material directions. Agree which lost wax investment or die-casting route applies to the component. Industry, machinery, auto, furniture, electrical, construction and building requests should be specified through their actual component duty and accepted final condition.
Milling, tapping, grinding and turning
These four secondary-machining directions can be allocated to the component's required features. Identify the surfaces and dimensions governed by each chosen operation. Agree the accepted feature geometry and inspection requirements with the actual machining scope, keeping the component's material and casting route clear.
Nine surface-treatment directions
Surface choices include powder coating, sand blasting, painting and electroplating. Further directions are polishing, spray coating, deburring, grinding and anodizing. Choose the actual treatment or sequence for the metal and required surface. Define the areas covered and the finished appearance or other accepted condition, with material/process compatibility agreed for the part.
Heat treatment and wear-related mold duty
Annealing, quenching and tempering are heat-treatment directions to select for the actual grade. Agree the required material condition and the acceptance checks for the chosen operation. Wear/abrasion-resistance and friction-related mold requests need their actual working duty and performance criteria defined. Complete the OEM or ODM scope with the chosen material, casting route, secondary work and project quantity.
