Precision carbon steel machinery components combine lost wax investment casting and CNC machining with sand blasting as the surface treatment. OEM and ODM custom fabrication supports the selected part, connecting the cast geometry with the finished interfaces needed by the machinery.

Use the standard family to select a grade

GB, ASTM, AISI, DIN and BS provide specification families for the material review. Identify the exact carbon-steel grade and applicable requirements for the component's duty. Bring that selection into the geometry and manufacturing discussion so that the casting and machining plan addresses a defined material rather than only a broad metal category.

Allocate the CNC work to critical geometry

Mark the dimensions and interfaces requiring CNC machining and establish their finished acceptance. Separate those requirements from the general cast geometry when reviewing the process. Include the relationships between mating surfaces and the dimensions that govern assembly, so the machining discussion remains tied to the actual machinery component.

Agree the sandblasted surface result

Sand blasting is the finishing treatment for this casting service. Define the areas receiving it and the required final surface condition, particularly where a blasted area is close to a functional interface. Review the finish requirements with the machining and casting plan so that surface acceptance and dimensional acceptance describe the same completed part.

Bring quality requirements into the custom plan

ISO 9001:2015 quality-system scope can be reviewed with the project documentation. Agree the component inspection requirements for the chosen grade, geometry and surface result, including any records needed for acceptance. The OEM/ODM review should connect those requirements to the actual machinery duty before the material and manufacturing route are approved.
