Custom metal hardware enquiries include investment and gravity casting, with iron, gray iron, aluminum and stainless-steel directions. Die-casting enquiries are a further process direction. Select the actual material and manufacturing route together with the hardware drawing and accepted component requirements.
Industrial hardware and material choice
Stainless steel, alloy and brass are further material directions for industrial parts. Define the actual grade and component geometry for the enquiry. Explain the working conditions and the details the hardware must provide. Agree the casting route for that material and use before selecting subsequent operations.
Casting, machining and surface requirements
OEM and ODM service includes casting, machining if needed and surface treatment. The casting-tolerance reference is CT5–7, with covered dimensions and acceptance to agree. Identify which working details are cast and which require selected machining. Define the required surface condition and treated areas for the component.
Full checking and applicable records
100% full checking is the inspection direction. Agree the characteristics and criteria that will establish acceptance for the actual hardware. ISO9001 and IATF16949 are certification references with applicable documents and scope to confirm.
- Component request
- Identify the grade, drawing, duty and selected casting and machining scope.
