Custom automotive investment-casting services offer iron, stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum directions. Stainless choices include 304, 304L, 316 and 316L. OEM/ODM support combines customized sizing with optional CNC machining and selected surface or heat-treatment requirements for the actual vehicle component.
CNC precision and the cast geometry
The machining precision reference is 0.01mm. Identify the dimensions that require CNC work and agree their applicable limits separately from the cast shape. This makes the machining request specific to the component while keeping the selected grade and required geometry clear.
Polished, passivated and other treatment directions
Mirror polishing, brush polishing and passivation are available surface choices. Other directions include plating, pickling, heat treatment, galvanizing and chrome finishing. Select the compatible combination for the actual stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum or iron part, and identify the areas and material condition each treatment must address.
Roughness and finished auto-part acceptance
The surface roughness reference is Ra3.2–6.3. Define the evaluated surfaces and agree the applicable roughness units and acceptance criteria alongside the chosen treatment. The intended automotive role should guide which dimensional and surface characteristics need to be controlled for the component.
For a useful OEM/ODM enquiry, combine the grade, vehicle-part geometry, CNC-controlled dimensions and required polished, plated or otherwise treated condition. Clarifying the machining limits and surface acceptance together provides a focused basis for reviewing the proposed investment casting and its finished requirements.
