OEM and ODM custom work includes aluminum casting and pressurized die mould-making enquiries. Investment and die-casting directions require the actual route to be agreed for the selected component. Define the material and drawing first, then establish the required thickness, subsequent operations and accepted finished condition.

Material and fabrication requirements

Zinc, aluminum, copper and steel are material directions for the custom enquiry. Punching, stamping, bending and riveting are additional fabrication directions to select for the actual part. Agree which route and operations apply to the component rather than treating the complete menu as one manufacturing sequence. Thickness can be customized to the required geometry.

Chosen surface treatment and color

Electroplating, powder coating, sandblasting and lacquer are available surface directions. Select the treatment suitable for the actual material and define the areas to receive it. Custom color is accepted, with appearance and surface acceptance to agree. The material, thickness and selected treatment should form a clear finished-component requirement.

Drawings and testing acceptance

Drawing directions include 2D/3D, CAD, DWG, STEP, PDF and IGS. Identify the current revision and how the model and dimensional requirements define the requested part. Testing is offered with the method and acceptance criteria to be agreed. Confirm the actual casting or mould route, selected fabrication operations, thickness and finish requirements together with those testing arrangements for the OEM or ODM request.
