Service TypeOEM/ODM Custom Manufacturing / Prototyping
Plan a custom aluminum part around its casting route, finished geometry and acceptance requirements. OEM/ODM manufacturing and prototyping support covers size, material and surface finish, with high-pressure and precision die-casting directions and die-casting mold enquiries.
Choose the material and actual forming route
Aluminum, zinc, magnesium and stainless steel are material directions to discuss for the component. Select the grade and agree the applicable manufacturing route for its shape and duty. A forging enquiry should establish its own material and process scope alongside the die-casting work being considered.
Place the tolerance on the relevant geometry
The service has a ±0.05 mm tolerance reference and supports custom tolerance requirements. Identify the features that need that acceptance and connect them to the controlling drawing. Discuss the casting and any mold or prototype requirements together so the selected geometry has a clear manufacturing definition.
Set the finished surface and application requirement
Mill finish, anodizing and powder coating are named surface options. Agree the complete finish required for the chosen material and identify the surfaces it should cover. Automotive, electronics, industrial machinery and medical-device enquiries each need their actual component duty and qualification requirements established.
Choose the checks and documentation for the part
Inspection support includes 100% inspection, CMM, projector, caliper and salt-spray testing. Specify the dimensional and surface criteria, including the salt-spray acceptance if that test is needed. Establish the relevant ISO9001, IATF16949 and RoHS scope for the order. For the geometry handoff, 3D file directions include STP, STEP, IGS, PRT and X_T.
