OEM steel precision-part inquiries center on investment/lost-wax casting, with broader work directions in stainless steel, steel, brass, copper, aluminum, iron and plastic. Investment casting, sand casting, machining, welding and forging are manufacturing directions to assign to the actual material and component. Moulds, casting, deburring, machining and surface treatment also form part of the work-scope discussion.

CT4–CT8 casting and ±0.02 mm machining

The casting-tolerance reference is CT4–CT8, while the machining-tolerance reference is ±0.02 mm. Assign those values to the actual cast and machined dimensions of the selected component. The part geometry, material grade and required interfaces should guide that assignment, so both tolerance references support the same finished acceptance plan.

Six machining directions for the selected geometry

Machining directions include broaching, drilling, milling, turning, tapping and wire-related work. Clarify the exact wire operation required for the component, then identify the surfaces or interfaces to which each selected method applies. Connect the machining content to the casting or other chosen manufacturing route and the actual dimensional requirements.

Five finish directions and eleven standard references

Finish directions are polishing, passivating, sandblasting, zinc plating and black oxide, selected for the actual material and required surfaces. Standard-family references include ISO, GB, DIN, JIS, ANSI, BSW, ASTM, ASME, BS, API and EN. Choose the applicable designation with the grade, finish compatibility and inspection criteria. The component's function and operating duty complete the basis for agreeing the OEM manufacturing scope.
