Custom OEM aluminum die-casting parts include A356 and A390 alloy directions, with sizes defined by the customer's 2D or 3D drawing. Tooling can use a single or multiple cavities. Select the alloy and component geometry before agreeing the cavity arrangement and the finished surface required for the casting.
Aluminum alloy and other material enquiries
A356 and A390 are the stated aluminum material choices for the die-casting work. Stainless steel and zinc alloy are broader enquiry directions requiring the actual grade and manufacturing route to be defined. Agree the chosen material and the dimensions to accept for the part, rather than assigning one casting route to every metal in the service enquiry.
Cavity arrangement and mould-life scope
The tooling choices and life reference need to be applied to the actual component. Use the drawing to establish what the selected mould must produce and how its performance will be accepted.
- Single or multiple cavities
- Agree the cavity arrangement for the required geometry and production request.
- 50K times mould-life reference
- Confirm the counting basis, tooling conditions and applicable component for this stated reference. Define those conditions when agreeing the tooling scope.
Select the finished casting surface
Powder coating, sandblasting, shot blasting and E-coating are available finish directions. Choose the treatment for the actual alloy and define the coverage, appearance and surface acceptance requirements. ISO9001:2015 is the service certification reference. Confirm the applicable quality documents together with the chosen alloy, drawing revision, cavity plan and finished-part criteria for the OEM enquiry.
