OEM custom 316 stainless steel mechanical parts are produced through lost-wax precision casting for industrial use. The dimensions are customized, with a CT4–CT6 casting-tolerance range, polishing and 100% inspection forming the core component requirements to review.

Relate the casting class to the mechanical interfaces

Use the component drawing to identify the dimensions and mating relationships that matter to the mechanical assembly. Agree the applicable casting tolerance within CT4–CT6 for those requirements. Keep any final interface acceptance explicit so the selected casting configuration has a defined dimensional target. The 316 material choice should be considered alongside the operating environment and actual mechanical duty of that part.

Specify the polished areas and applicable DIN basis

Polishing is available for the custom stainless component. Identify the surfaces requiring it and describe the expected final condition, particularly where appearance and fit interact. A DIN standard basis is part of the enquiry; agree the relevant standard number and edition for the drawing requirements. Connect that standard and the surface acceptance to the same component geometry so the polished result can be assessed consistently.

Match inspection records to the selected part

The 316 mechanical casting service uses 100% inspection coverage. Define the checked characteristics, methods and acceptance for the particular component, including critical dimensions and the polished surface. Identify which records are needed to review those results against the approved drawing. A complete OEM enquiry brings the custom dimensions, selected DIN basis, material duty and inspection criteria together, giving the mechanical part a clear acceptance plan without assigning a new test method or operating rating.
