Steel component enquiries in the minerals and metallurgy direction use lost wax investment casting with CNC machining. Define the actual steel grade, component drawing and working conditions for the required part. Those requirements establish the selected heat treatment, working dimensions and finished acceptance for the casting.
Steel grade and component specification
ASTM, AISI, DIN, BS, JIS, NF and AS are standard-system references for the enquiry. Select the applicable document and steel grade for the actual component. The drawing should identify the dimensions and working details to be accepted, with service conditions agreed for the intended minerals or metallurgy application.
Heat treatment and manufacturing resources
Quenching and tempering are offered through two mesh-belt furnaces. Resources also include 50+ machining centers and 80+ CNC machines for the manufacturing direction.
- Machined working details
- Define the required CNC operations, selected dimensions and surface acceptance for the cast component.
- Surface and assembly scope
- Shot blasting and assembly are stated process directions. Agree the required treatment result and assembly requirements with the component drawing.
Selected inspection and quality documents
MT, UT, RT and CMM are inspection directions, alongside 100% visual inspection and 100% gauge inspection. Agree the actual methods and acceptance criteria for the requested part, keeping the two percentage references with their stated checks. IATF16949 and ISO14001 are service certification references. Confirm the applicable documents together with the grade, treatment, dimensional criteria and finished inspection requirements.
