Custom casting directions include lost-foam aluminum and lost-wax investment casting with requested SS304 or SS316 materials. Machining services cover CNC machining, lathing, milling, turning, boring and drilling. Select the actual material, casting route and component geometry before assigning the precision and finishing requirements.
Choose the aluminum or stainless route and mold
Define whether the component request follows a lost-foam aluminum direction or a stainless-steel lost-wax investment direction. Identify the actual alloy or stainless grade and agree the compatible route and mold scope. Keep that selection specific to the part rather than treating every material and casting method as interchangeable.
Distinguish CT4–8 casting from IT7 machining
CT4–8 is the investment-casting tolerance reference, while machining is referenced up to IT7 according to customer requirements. Ra 0.8–3.2 is also a machining-surface reference. Mark the controlled cast and machined dimensions separately, and confirm the units and surfaces associated with the Ra range before setting final acceptance criteria.
Define passivated or polished surfaces
Passivation and polishing are available according to the requested surface treatment. Specify which areas receive each applicable treatment for the selected material and describe the desired result. Agree how the finished surfaces and controlled dimensions will be evaluated after the chosen CNC machining operations. This connects the actual casting route and mold, machining scope and surface requirements in a single component definition.
